PRODUCING COUNTRY: Italy | Lombardia
The grapes come exclusively from vineyards in the municipalities of Franciacorta.
GRAPES: 90% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Nero – 12% Vol.
VINIFICATION: Up to six long years of care and attention render this cuvée a mouth watering temptation. Depending on the vintage, a variable amount of the wine is aged in the finest small French oak barriques. After this, a natural second fermentation takes place in the bottle, with a period of “élevage” on the yeasts for no less than 48 months.
TASTE: This wine expresses the terroir with its fragrance and aromatic complexity, offering hints of citrus fruit, almond and crusty bread. It is an intense wine with a full palate, rich texture, well-defined freshness, tangy minerality and a fully persistent taste and fragrance that give it power and nobility.
SERVING SUGGESTION: It is perfect with fish dishes and excellent with oysters.
